Andrew Mpolokeng

Chief Executive Officer

CEO of the Eton Group, Andrew has more than 25 years IT experience in the areas of Project Management, Applications and Network Support, E-commerce, General Management, Account Management, ITIL, COBIT and specializing in the Project Management Office (PMO) establishment projects using best practice methodologies, tools and resources.

His project management experience in both the private and public sector comprises teams with between 4 and 20 people. It often included extensive travel with team members located at several national sites. He often managed several projects simultaneously. The projects often involved managing professional vendors and C level engagements. The projects varied from pure IT to large business-related and include the following areas:

  • IT Infrastructure Implementations
  • Applications/ ERP upgrades
  • Transformation Projects
  • End-user Training
  • Project Management Office (PMO) Establishment
  • Change Management

He is actively involved in the Information Technology sector and is passionate about digital transformation and project management. His leadership style is motivational and encourages inclusivity.

Zuki Nzo

Director

Director and Major Shareholder of the Eton Group. Zuki has been responsible for Advocacy and Mainstreaming- Rights of Persons with Disabilities Unit. This office was responsible for events management and stakeholder coordination. Presidential Working Group on Disability (PWGD) Secretariat services. Information management, Legislation and policy development and Project management. She was also responsible for ensuring an appropriate Research, Development strategy that seeks to further the mandate of the NCPD as well as activities in accordance with the strategic objectives of the unit. Keep abreast with industry knowledge as per UNCRPD and domestic instruments. Formulate and implement foresight studies and contribute to proposals and applications, creating new strategic partnerships and maintain existing partners. Zuki developed an online Monitoring & Evaluation system for the organization, aimed gathering data to be analysed, results and findings provide descriptive, explanatory and exploratory analysis of areas which may need:
  • Deeper investigations of issue that may arise.
  • Preferential attention to the internal programs/projects informed by needs.
  • Measuring of achievements addressing through various international and national policies & programs targeting beneficiaries.
Zuki is currently undertaking a PHD degree at Toyo University in Japan.
Bill Cinnamond

Chairman

Chairman of the Eton Group and has over 30 years IT Audit and Consulting experience in the review of computer systems as well as control environment reviews. Bill has strong Management and Interpersonal Skills and tend to gravitate to the Client Relationship and Business Development role, including the development of complex proposals and tender responses. Bill is commercially minded with good efficiency in all aspects of organisation development and growth, customer service, including programme and systems management. He is adept at formulating and implementing effective strategies, offering analytical support, maintaining smooth workflow, revamping operational efficiency, and leading cross-functional teams. In addition, he has proven expertise in establishing corporate goals, analysing and meeting process requirements, administering consulting engagements, providing technical services, and managing contracts and regulatory documents.
Anthea Harms

Project Director – Records Management

Anthea is currently a Project Director with the Eton Group. She has over 30 years’ experience in the field of records management. Anthea started her career in Records Management in 1983 and moved into the electronic environment in 1994. She has done ECM related consulting and project management for a number of major companies and Government departments. She was the Project Leader at SITA that evaluated and implemented an ECM framework in the National Government. She lectured at the University of Pretoria (Information Science department) as a guest lecturer in her spare time and was a member of a number of industry related workgroups and technical advisory committees. She brings 40 years experience in Records Management to the team.
Rudolf Rautenbach

Head of Audit

Rudolf currently heads up our Audit and Asset Management practice within the Eton Group. After qualifying as a CA (SA) Rudolf became Manager and Training Officer at the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) and gained extensive experience within the Audit environment. Thereafter he was involved in business with a specific focus on consulting and training in the private and public sector, skills development and video streaming. Through entrepreneurial activities and management, he lead two start-up businesses with a combined turnover of R600m per annum for five years. Rudolf holds an Honours (postgraduate) degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in South African and International Tax. He is a South African Chartered Accountant and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), SAIPA and Project Management South Africa. Prior to joining the Eton Group, Rudolf:
  • Formed Spesres, a training business, developed business plans and operational structures for it and managed the overall business as executive director for 5 years with a turnover of R600m per annum.
  • Created the streaming platform DigiTV, formed part of the executive management team and operations with a turnover of R35m per annum.
  • Managed, as CEO, a staff compliment of 320 people active in all 9 provinces in South Africa
  • Developed strategy for the penetration of the African market through expansion and private partnerships
  • Assisted with Financial Management Improvement which include Policy developments (CIDB, LG Seta, Fieta, State Theatre, municipalities), Revenue enhancement and SCM reengineering (ICASA), Quality control (AGSA), Revenue and debtors (Department of Water Affairs and Forestry), Call Centre Efficiency Testing (MERseta), etc.
Minenhle Nene

Senior Consultant – Change Management

Minenhle is a Senior Consultant the Eton Group and has over 25 years’ experience  in Human Capital; Organisational Development; Change Management; Strategy Design, Development, Facilitation & Review; Learning & Development and other associated experience in both the public and private sectors. He has extensive experience in design and analysis of business needs & has worked with a variety of clients to develop and implement tailor-made business solutions, including Quality & Performance Management Systems. Mini has a solid understanding of the organisational environment in the Non-Profit, Public, including Provincial and Local Government as well as  Private Sectors and has been central to the implementation of various interventions such as SETA Performance Assessment; Business Process Review & Reconfiguration; Councillor Development Programme; eLearning; Strategy/Programme Design, Development, Delivery and Impact Evaluation. Some of the aspects he is accomplished in include:

Hennie Grobler

Senior Consultant - IT

Hennie is an experienced Project Manager with 25+ years in IT Infrastructure, IT Software Development, IT Services. Managed the IT Audit section of the Annual Financial Audit. Hennie’s main focus is the successful completion of Projects within time and cost plans.

He has a broad scope of understanding and knowledge of corporate IT solutions. In-depth understanding of the IT landscape including Servers, Networks, Databases, Software and Support services. The quality and usability of any IT solution needs the correct combination of all the above. Additional skills in managing the annual IT audit process, Network Access Control and setting up ITIL-based support services.

He uses hands-on project management to ensure projects deliver the expected returns and value originally intended. His ability to grasp the requirements for large and complex projects also added to the large number of successful projects delivered over the years.

Some of the larger projects included developing Datawarehouse and BI solutions for Standard Bank, Eskom and Department of Housing.

Highly skilled at running Project Meetings from Work Group meetings to Executive Steering Committees. Is proud to report the successful uncoupling of the IT and Financial reporting facilities during the Naspers / MultiChoice separation. This was a large 9-month project with many components and no room for error due to fixed timelines and tight JSE financial reporting deadlines.

Some of Hennie’s achievements include:

  • Successfully decoupling the IT systems and Financial Reporting Systems (HFM) during the MultiChoice listing and unbundling from Naspers
  • Working on the Team that implemented a PMO at MultiChoice
  • Implementing the NAC solution at MultiChoice
  • Implementing Datawarehouse / BI solution at Department of Housing, Eskom and Standard Bank
  • Implementing MS Great plains for six G4S Africa Countries
  • As a salesman, helping to build the Auto-Mate department at Di Data into the largest supplier of Software Solution to the Motor Dealers of South Africa.

Paul Janisch

Private Public Partnership Advisor

Paul Janisch is a BEE compliance expert.  He specialises in interpreting the different requirements within an empowerment structure and finding the most optimal methods of their implementation with the least amount of disruption to the business.   The job includes project managing and implementing the various initiatives.

Paul is recognised as the empowerment expert in Namibia, Zambia and Botswana and has hosted and presented at conferences in many of those countries.

Paul has written for numerous publications on the subject of BEE, these include Moneyweb, Biznews and the Daily Maverick.  One of these contributions sparked a direct response from the erstwhile minister of trade and industry.  His book “Broad based BEE for small business” was published in December 2005.

Paul is the author of the only blog dedicated to BEE.  Its readership includes industry experts, government officials and players across the private sector.  The outspoken blog is recognised as an authority on empowerment within South Africa and its neighbours and has solicited consultation to a variety of international companies and analysts.

Peter Benton

Senior Consultant - Finance

Peter is a Senior consultant at the Eton Group and has gained commercial experience in multiple industry sectors in Finance, Operations and Business Development. This experience is further enhanced by him having worked across different cultures as well as having lived in various countries around the world.

Peter has filled several Executive/C-Level roles coupled with participation on accomplished Boards of Directors.

Major achievements include acquiring a shareholding in one of the Totalisator operators in Mauritius for Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited (PGL). This required the management of the due diligence process as well as the preparation of the Investment Case for the Board of PGL and the Business Case for the South African Reserve Bank (SARB). The investment recouped its initial outlay in the first year of trading.

Peter was primarily responsible for negotiating and securing contracts in Macau, Malaysia, Turkey and Russia for the simulcasting of South African horse racing. The contract in Turkey generates circa US$5m per annum in gross handle.

A deliverable for Sol Mutuel in Grenada, was the preparation of the company policy on anti-money laundering’ for which approval was obtained from the Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN).

The Horse Racing and Sportsbook Division of IBC BET – The Largest Online Gaming Website in the world – was achieved in half the time budgeted for.

Peter provides a wealth of experience, energy and a commitment to completion to all work assigned.

David Welmans

Dave is a Senior Consultant at the Eton Group and has over 30 years IT Consulting experience in the sales and implementation of various computer systems. He has strong Management and Interpersonal Skills and tend to gravitate to the Client Relationship and Business Development role.

Consultant – Records Management

Memory is a specialist records management consultant within the Eton Group and has over 25 years’ experience in this field.

She is currently a senior member of our team and specialized in the Improvement of Municipal Records Management. This involves:

Rodney Smith

Senior Consultant - Audit

Rodney is a Senior Consultant within the Eton Group and has over 30 years IT audit experience in review of IT security, infrastructure as well as control environment reviews. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA – USA) covering various audits to provide IT security, infrastructure control and compliance assurance based on best practice guidelines against OSI Model, relevant ISO standards, and Cobit 5.0 and ITIL control frameworks. 

He has strong Management and Interpersonal skills gained from experience in managing of IT audit assurance and compliance reviews for various stakeholders during the many years he has worked in the Medical, Transport, Retail, Banking and Gaming industries.

Rodney has strong skills  in most aspects of organisation development and growth, customer service, including programme and systems management. Rodney is adept at formulating and implementing effective strategies, offering analytical support, maintaining smooth workflow, revamping operational efficiency, and leading cross-functional teams. In addition, he has proven expertise in establishing value add recommendations to achieve corporate goals, analyzing and meeting process requirements, administering consulting engagements, providing technical services, and managing contracts and regulatory documents.
